31-year-old Charles Nunez is recovering tonight after being shot to the right shoulder and left abdomen. It happened shortly before 10:00 yesterday morning when the Punta Gorda resident was cutting the grass at the town's Seventh Day Adventist Primary School Compound.

That's when another man who had called him to the street side pulled out a 9mm pistol and shot him. They fought and during the struggle Nunez was shot a second time, but then the gun jammed giving Nunez a chance to escape into the school compound.

He was later transported to the PG hospital.

Police have a known suspect.
