And from that terrifying home invasion in Belmopan, we turn now to a robbery of a Call Center in Ladyville in which the thieves made off with approximately $19,000 in cash.

It happened at around 3:20 when the 32-year-old security guard was paying workers. Two men suddenly pulled up at the compound with skull masks over their faces. They pointed a handgun at the guard and forced him into a room at the back of the building. They then tied his hands with plastic straps and made off with a box containing all those thousands of dollars in cash.

Sources tell 7News that there is an initial suspicion that this could have been an inside job since the robbers would have had to know when the payment in cash was being distributed.
