And in the wake of that murder, there's been another violent crime in Ladyville, this one reportedly happening in the shadow of the village's police station.

It happened at about 4:00 p.m. on Carpenter Street - in the Mitchell Estates area - when reports are that a family, including children, were held at gunpoint by three intruders who'd breached the entrances to their home.

Reports say It was only after the family matriarch pleaded for mercy that the gunmen left the family, badly shaken but in one piece.
