A teenager is accused of stabbing a woman in the chest. The incident occurred this morning, sometime after 10, in the Backatown area. According to the residents of the home, the 17 year old assailant was cutting up clothes belonging to the 20 year old victim. They got into a fight, during which the assailant took a knife and stabbed the other woman. She was rushed to the hospital and the suspect fled the scene, leaving the weapon behind.
When we arrived on the scene, the police had yet to process it. But the residents had already cleaned up the blood. The knife sat underneath the stairs until it was taken into evidence by a police officer.
The victim's boyfriend, who had a cut wound on his hand which he sustained from trying to break up the fight, was taken to the station to give a statement.
