21- year-old James Rudon is under investigation for murder tonight after he was caught with what is suspected to be a murder weapon. But while the murder happened out west, the suspect was heading south!

Yesterday afternoon at 3:40 Police stopped a bus in the southern village of Santa Rosa. Police were looking for Rudon, and when they searched the rack above his head, they found a black Everest backpack which contained a 9mm Smith and Wesson pistol.

This is the suspected murder weapon in the robbery and murder of 55-year old Lionel Olivera.

You'll remember that Lionel Olivera is the Santa Elena security guard who was ambushed and killed on Friday night all because his assailants, who'd likely been tracking his movements, wanted his weapon.

Rudon has been charged for possession of an unlicensed firearm. He has also been escorted to Belmopan to be investigated for a possible connection to the murder. Police are looking for one other suspect.
