Two days ago, we told you that 30-year-old Elvis Zabaneh's refusal to take a traffic ticket ended up with him being charged for a remand offense. And tonight we can tell you that after court today, he has indeed been remanded. He was arraigned earlier this week and remanded until July 16th. Today his bail application was adjourned for next week. This means that he'll be spending the weekend behind bars.

On June 22nd, Zabaneh was being issued a traffic ticket but allegedly pointed a gun at the traffic officer and threatened his life. After the traffic officer requested court action, he was picked up and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm.
