Drug Plane Too Remote To Reach

A drug plane landed between Belize and Guatemala this weekend - near the southern border.

The Guatemalan Army reports that on Sunday morning over 50 bales of cocaine and 5 rifles were found near the Sarstoon boundary between Guatemala and Belize.

And while Guatemalan media reported the story, the Belizean authorities had been quiet. Today, the commissioner confirmed Belizean officials were in the area, but could not easily access the site where the drugs and guns were found. He also noted that the reason they hadn't reported on it was for the safety of the officers at the scene.

Reliable reports tell us that the BDF and other Belizean law enforcement asses could not reach the location because they did not have enough fuel.
