At the top of the news, we told you about the controversial killing of 29-year-old Jessie Escobar by one of his fellow soldiers last night in the Village of Santa Familia.
As we told you, he, his common-law wife, their young daughter, and 2 friends went to the Branch Mouth Stop and Shop Store. They got into some sort of dispute with an inter-agency law enforcement team.
Video surveillance footage clearly shows that Escobar was no threat to his fellow lawmen colleagues, but a fellow BDF officer fatally shot him. They say that he was advancing threateningly on them, shortly after the civilian group had been acting hostile toward them.
Reports are that the police officer's home has since been burnt down in retaliation for Escobar's killing, and reports out of Santa Familia say that the angry residents have now engaged in a tire fire on one of the main roads into the community.
