So, why was Gordon targeted? Police believe it is a case of mistaken identity. Here is the head of the CIB office in a press briefing this afternoon:

"What we understand is the Mr Gordon had just arrived at that location where he went to meet someone who had some money for him and while he was waiting for the person, two persons riding separate bicycles approached him and one of the persons fired several shots at him, causing his fatal injuries."

"Is there any motive because the family seems to believe that he may have had some money on him?"
Alejandro Cowo
"We so far have been able to view some footage and when police checked the body upon their arrival he was checked and there was no kind of money in his possession at the moment when police searched him."

"But this isn't gang related?"
Alejandro Cowo
"We believe it doesn't have anything to do with gangs and we believe he was not the intended target but somebody who was inside of the yard at the moment."

"The family believes he was followed to that location, is there any indication that was true?"
Alejandro Cowo
"Well we do not know he was followed but based on the footage we have observed, we observed two persons came behind him and one person fired the shots."
