And at the start of the weekend there was yet another traffic fatality this time in Corozal. It happened at about 5:15 pm when 32-year-old Ditmar Ruiz, a teacher from Cristo Rey Village, lost control of his Toyota Tacoma and overturned on the right shoulder of the road.

The front portion of the vehicle received extensive damage causing Ruiz became trapped inside and by the time fire personnel managed to free his motionless body there was nothing left to do but pronounce him dead. CTV3 spoke with a neighbor who came upon in the scene in the aftermath of the accident.
