Caye Caulker Cops Had A Handful

And over the weekend, a bystander captured a lawless wrestling match between Caye Caulker cops and a drunk and defiant man who they were trying to arrest.

His name is Jamil Canto, a man whose family has been at the center of a contentious land dispute for some time. On this occasion, it seems that Canto was involved in an altercation with at least two other men, both of whom were also detained.

Still, that took a lot of doing because as you can see from the video Jamil, already bleeding and bruised, breaks free from a police chokehold and curses at them repeatedly.

He has since been charged for assaulting several officers as well as for the use of threatening words.
