Last night, we told you about the family from Hattieville Village who were terrorized over the weekend by armed assailants who gained entry into their home after pretending to be police. The thieves stole an undisclosed amount of cash, and their grey Toyota Hilux pickup truck, which police intercepted near the country's western border, in Bullet Tree Falls Village.
The cops say that 2 residents from Bullet Tree: 34-year-old Charlie Martinez and 23-year-old Angel Mayen, were caught inside the stolen vehicle when they pulled it over. Investigators intend to directly connect them to the home invasion in Hattieville Village, but for now, they both have been arrested and charged with handling stolen goods in connection with the Hilux.
As we told you, Theodore Gabourel, a security guard from Hattieville who works at the Cleopatra White Clinic, reported to police that at around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, he and his family were awakened by someone who was shouting "Police" at their front door. He opened up, and that's when he came face to face with a man in a camouflage outfit who pointed a shotgun at him.
2 other accomplices barged into the family's home, tied up Gabourel, his common-law wife, Lauramay Bowen, and her grandchild. They stole an undisclosed amount of cash, and Lauramay's grey Toyota Hilux. Several hours later, alert police at the Bullet Tree checkpoint pulled the vehicle over.
