Yesterday, we told you about the murder of 34-year-old Juan Mendez, who was viciously chopped along with his cousin. Mendez was fatally wounded while Wendy Mendez, is still in a critical condition.

And today, the police have arrested the person they believe to be the assailant. 36-year-old Jermain Dion Zuniga was arrested and charged for murder. There is no indication as yet whether he will also be charged for Wendy Mendez's injuries.

The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when Mendez - who had allowed Zuniga to live at his home - asked him to leave because he had overstayed his welcome. That turned into an argument which escalated into the murder and attempted murder.
