They were at home in the Bainesville area of Hattieville yesterday evening when they were fired upon. Both sustained injuries.

ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Communications Officer
"July 17th sometime around 5:15AM police were called to a residence at Mile 17 1/2 in the Bainseville area of Hattieville where they were informed that one Rasheed Maskall a 22-year-old male and Latifah Ferguson received gunshot injuries. We know that they were at thier home sometime around 5:10 AM when they heard a barrage of bullets and realized that they were injured. Mr. Maskall was transported to the KHMH via private vehicle. Ms. Ferguson who got a shot to her right leg also was transported to the KHMH where they are being treated for their injuries."
Cherisse Halsall:
"Sir. any motive for this shooting?"
ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Communications Officer
"None as yet. but, um, we know that the investigators are following up on some leads that they made thorough interviews with the victims so hopefully, we can get to the bottom of this rather sooner than later."
Cherisse Halsall:
"So no indication that this was any sort of personal matter?"
ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Communications Officer
"Well, we cannot determine that but I know that these persons were receiving treatment."
As you heard Ferguson received a gunshot to the right leg. Maskall's injury was more serious as he was shot to the groin area.
