Two fishermen were arrested and charged for an armed robbery that took place on Saturday. 20-year-old Stanley Jerome Wade and 31-year-old Eugene Mark Anthony Fraser were arraigned today in court on a single charge.
The allegations are that just before midnight on Saturday, they robbed a maintenance worker on Youth for the Future Drive. 53-year-old Floyd Smith was standing under a shed when the men approached him on bicycles and one of them pulled out a firearm. The other searched his pockets and stole a cell phone along with $500 cash. They then sped off in the direction of Conch Shell Bay.
In court, they were remanded to the Belize Central Prison until October 24th.
