And in crime news, a call center agent was shot in the chest by a police officer last night just before 8:30. 22-year-old Rondane Swazo was on Euphrates Avenue when the trigger was pulled, and while he survived the incident, his girlfriend told us today that he's in a lot of pain and is having breathing complications. And though he's recovering in the hospital, up until this morning, the family still had no idea why he was targeted. His girlfriend explained that he had just left the house when she heard the gunshots.

"Literally 5 minutes he left from home then we heard gunshots, then afterwards everybody ran out there and they say that your boyfriend got shot. So when I got there they already took the body, so the lady that was there came and talk me and said sweety, you know they left your boyfriend right there and say that if she didn't went there and see this guy still breathing, they would have left him there to die."

"They are tyring to see if they can find the bullet, but they couldn't find the bullet in him, so they need to another x-ray today to see if they can see it, because maybe the bullet came out."

"His sister, his brother and his mom went to see him. I went last and I ask him if he was okay and held my hand tight and said no, he can't breathe and he say they move him from the room and didn't have oxygen on him and then one of the doctor was saying that this patient doesn't belong in here yet, he should be over the next ward. They supposed to clean him before they bring him to surgical ward. So I went to talk to the nurse and she was very humble and sweet, because when you come at the hospital you have to be humble and sweet to make them deal with you right. You can't come in a harsh way regardless of the situation. She helped and when she notice he didn't have on any pampers and the urine bag was leaking, so she came and put on pampers and wipe him and clean him and put on new oxygen, because he was bleeding through his mouth as well."
