The family of 29-year-old Alberto Moralez was worried when they weren't able to contact him over the weekend. He'd been last seen on Thursday, and by Saturday, they filed a police report. Fortunately, Moralez was located alive - he had been visiting an area that had low phone signal.
While that was good news for the family, the police advised the public to inform family members before taking a trip to avoid unnecessary concern.
Supt. Gerald Jones, Deputy Head, NCIB

"One Jacqueline Morales, 56 years, a teacher of mile 27 Philip Goldson Highway Biscayne Village reported that her son namely Alberto Morales, age 29, business owner of Burrell Boom cut off went missing on Thursday the 10th of October we have since been in communication with the family and we have learnt that he has returned back home safely and is in good health. He reported that he was within the mountain pine ridge area and the reception was not too good."
"I would just like to urge the rest of the general public that if they're going anywhere to do any errand or whatever situation that they're going to do that they could at least inform a family relative that they're going to do XYZ so that they know the whereabouts of them so that at the end of the day it does not create a panic as such because we have been receiving similar situations like these that people are going to different places, I know that it's private or so forth, but at least you can tell someone that yes you're travelling to whatever situation or whatever place you're going so that they have our knowledge of where you're going and if questions are being asked everyone can be appeased to understand that you're going to that location."
