And in Corozal, over 100,000 dollars was stolen from the Belize Bank ATM at Escuela Secundaria Tecnica Mexico on Sunday, at 3 in the morning. The watchmen, 34-year-old Faustino Dominguez and 55-year-old Alfonso Castaneda were held at gunpoint by four men who then stole some electrical drills, an electrical grinder, and a chisel and managed to break inside the building where the ATM was by removing the metal door. They then damaged the security cameras, the electrical lines, and the alarm system before stealing the metal box containing the ATM's money. During the robbery, an 18-year-old farm attendant reporting for work was also helped at gunpoint.
The men then placed the box in an SUV before fleeing the scene.

"These people they seemed very organized; the damage the cameras, they damage the electrical lines. They did a lot to break into this ATM. They dismantle the alarm system and all of that. Do police believe that this is an inside job or someone with knowledge of how these ATMs work?"
ASP Fitzroy Yearwood
"We do believe that it's someone or maybe persons that have knowledge of the whole operation."
