Last Thursday, we took you to Roaring Creek Village, where residents had joined the Hansen Family in an emotional search. They were looking for the body of 8-year-old Luke Hansen, who drowned during what should have been an afternoon of fun and swimming at the Roaring Creek's intersection with the Belize River.
But Luke, his older brother, and his cousin drifted to a slightly deeper section of the river, and due to the soft mud on the river bed, they suddenly ended up underwater. First responders saved Luke's brother and his cousin, but they could not locate him.
After multiple days of searching, the boy's body was discovered on Saturday.
