16 Years For Convicted Rapist

A man convicted of rape has been sentenced to 16 years in jail. Justice Ricardo O'Neil Sandcroft sentenced 37 year old Andre Gordon after finding him guilty in July of last year. He sentenced Gordon to 8 years for the rape, and added another 8 years for the aggravating factors which include the fact that he sodomized his victim, who was 21 at the time.

In his testimony, Gordon said they had consensual sex and claimed she cried rape after she was caught by her neighbour having relations with a man because she professed to be a lesbian.

The victim claimed that he ambushed her in her home at 3:15 AM, and then fell asleep only to wake up and find him on top of her.

After deductions, Gordon will serve 13 years and 6 months in jail.
