This morning, an interview conducted in Mexico with Belizean-American car dealer Eduardo Usher who had just gotten hustled by the "Federales started making the social media rounds. In it the clearly frazzled traveller claims to have been extorted by the P.G.R. which are state police, in Escarcega, while en route to Belize.
Now, Usher says he fears for his safety and that Mexican authorities may also attempt to take the two cars that he is currently transporting.
Here's what he told a local Mexican social media influencer about the ordeal he'd been put through.

"This Belizean-American citizen well, they stopped him like any other person but lamentably, what is it that happened, my dear?"
Eduardo Usher, Extorted by Mexican National Police
"They stopped me and they asked me for documents. I gave them everything and then they looked for a fault saying that this black vehicle isn't permitted to be in Mexico, and I explained that it is allowed. So, we talked to the agency that did the entire transaction and the agency was explaining but they didn't want to hear it, and from there they said that they would take away the cars and they would detain me in a police station. So, I said let's go. When they were about to cuff me, they told me to put on the cuffs but I didn't want to because I think they know I'm not a bad person. They were just scaring me, and the last thing that happened was they said: "So that we can help you, you tell us what we can do." And I had like 3000 pesos in my bag and they took out the money and they took the keys, they took all my papers, and they put me in a truck so that people couldn't see me. And later what they did, since I didn't have it, they asked for $ 200.00 USD and I said I don't have that and they said to get it from the bank and do a transfer. And they made me open my bank account as well and because I couldn't do the transfer and the 3000 pesos wouldn't do it, they wanted more. They saw a 58-inch flatscreen and they said well you'll have to leave that, and I said, no!, I won't leave that, and that's when they said, well then they would take me away, and I was trying to explain to the officials until they tried to assault me, they said they would punch me in the face if I didn't shut up. I'm really afraid of them because I was alone."

"And did they really take it?"
Eduardo Usher, Extorted by Mexican National Police
"They took away my television and they took 3000 pesos."
In the remainder of the video, Usher attempts to make a report to the Mexican National Guard but it seems, without much success.
