Accused Of Murder, Man Pleads Down To Manslaughter

39 year old Jose Mendoza pleaded down to the charge of manslaughter today, after he was charged for the murder of his father in law 57 year old Gaspar Vargas in 2018.

The murder occurred on April 30th 2018 in San Pedro Town. Mendoza reportedly stabbed Vargas inside his home following a misunderstanding. Vargas was stabbed to his abdomen and succumbed to his injuries shortly after. Mendoza's trial began today before justice Ricardo Sandcroft, and he was represented by attorney Oscar Selgado. Mendoza is set to be sentenced on September 28th.
