35 year old Dale Saragoza was busted with 16.5 pounds of weed during a house search in May of 2020 and was charged with drug trafficking.
He pleaded not guilty at the time, but changed that to guilty today when he appeared alongside his attorney Oscar Selgado.
Because of the plea he was spared jail time and was instead fined $7,500 dollars. He's lucky because the mandatory fine for drug trafficking is $10,000 and confinement of 3 years in certain cases. Sargoza was given until December 29th 2023 to pay or in default face 15 months imprisonment.
