And while the prosecutors didn't appear in court today due to that sickout, Justice Nigel Pilgrim did show up - even though he experienced a very frightening home invasion at around 1:00 this morning.
The Trinidadian Judge who lives in the greater Ladyville area reported that he heard a loud bang early this morning while sleeping in his 2 storey cement house. He awoke to the terrifying sight of his room door open and went outside to see a man dashing down the stairs of his home. The intruder left without taking anything and without harming the judge.
The intruder gained entry to the house by cutting the burglar bars of a window and escaped through the backdoor. Though nothing was reported stolen, police are still looking for a suspect.
