On Friday, we reported on a stabbing that occurred in Burrell Boom village between a common law couple.
Neighbors had rushed 26 year old Shona Baptist to the KHMH after she was stabbed by her common law partner Manuel Rodriguez. Though the mother of one is listed in a stable condition and is now recovering, ACP Romero told us today that Rodriguez was most likely under the influence when he arrived home that night.

"On Thursday the 30th day of November 2023 around 8:00 Pm police responded to a report at Burrell Boom Village and upon the arrival they found Shona Baptist, 26 years with stab injuries to the body. Also found at the scene was one Manual Rodriguez who had been detained by family members and villagers of Burrell Boom. Investigations revealed that Shona Baptist and Manuel Rodriguez had a domestic dispute after which Rodriguez inflicted stab wounds to her. She was taken to the KHMH where she is in a stable condition at this time an investigation was carried out, and Manuel Rodriguez has since been arrested and charged for the crime of attempted murder, and use of the deadly means of harm."
Rodriguez is a bartender by profession.
