A father of three was remanded today and two pregnant women were fined after they were slapped with several charges of burglary and handling student goods. 23-year-old Tyreke Garnett was charged along with his common-law wife, 30-year-old Camaree Williams, and another couple, 34-year-old Elward McKay and his common-law, Shanda Blades.

Reports are that Garnett burglarized ICB, while all four of them entered a man's home and stole several items. They also stole jewelry from two women.

In both cases, Garnett was charged with burglary and denied bail.

McKay was then charged for handling stolen goods which he pled guilty to and was fined. Despite him pleading guilty, the prosecutor did not withdraw the charges from the other three. Bail was granted to the two women and this case was adjourned for February 16th, 2024.

Williams and Garnett were then charged with a second count of handling stolen goods. Initially, Williams pled guilty, but since she did not agree with the facts laid out by the police, the Senior Magistrate entered an equivocal plea of not guilty.

The final arraignment was for Blades, who was charged for handling stolen goods.

While both Blades and Williams are on bail, they must sign in at the police station. The case against them and Garnett was adjourned to February 15th, 2024.
