He cried before the judge begging for freedom - but after two years of skipping out of court - there wasn't much that could be done for Elroy Williams.
He told High Court judge, Justice Nigel Pilgrim that he was remorseful for his actions and through tears claimed that his father died today and that it's also his son's birthday.
Williams - who says he is an MMA fighter - also claimed that has an upcoming fight in San Pedro and so he asked the judge for bail.
But his bail was revoked because he has not been coming to court for almost two years and that's where Williams will remain until his case for attempted murder is tried.
If convicted of attempted murder Williams is facing a minimum of 15 to 25 years imprisonment.
