Tonight a man who claims he was drugged by a doctor while having drinks says he does not know what happened to him for two whole days.
A Venezuelan male nurse has made a police report accusing his drinking buddy, a doctor, of spiking his drink with a drug that left him knocked out for two days.
And the conclusive evidence is surveillance video from Little John's Bar. Tonight we have a look at that:
The surveillance video was captured at a local bar and is time stamped November 30th at 11:09 pm.
The two men - a doctor on the left and a male nurse on the right - are talking and the nurse stands up to go to the restroom.
As he walks off, the doctor reaches into his pocket and when his drinking buddy out of sight, he takes something out and reaches across to his friend's drink and then seems to crumble something inside the drink - which he takes about 45 seconds to do while he furtively looks around.
Finished with whatever he was doing, he sits back and goes back into his pocket and then reaches over to stir his friend's drink. Then puts on his glasses and goes into his phone business as usual.
His friend returns just under two minutes later, clueless - takes his seat and goes right back to his drink - which of course is now laced with whatever substance the doctor put in there.
The male nurse told police the last thing he remembered was getting inside the Doctor's vehicle at the bar, but when he woke up it was Monday 2nd December - two days later - and he had no memory of how he got home nor what happened upon leaving Little John's.
Since the report was made police have questioned the Doctor and here's what we know tonight. The Doctor is a surgeon who worked at the KHMH until recently. We cannot report his name tonight until we confirm that he has been charged.
We know also that the male nurse underwent a medical examination at KHMH which found no evidence of sexual assault. A blood sample was collected and submitted to the National Forensic Science Services for further analysis.
Police detained the doctor yesterday at his apartment on the Philip Goldson Highway, and a search was conducted at his home and personal locker at KHMH, but no incriminating evidence was found.
We note that there is also a counter narrative where the Doctor claims he is being blackmailed by the nurse and his attorney. We are told a settlement had been proposed before criminal charges were filed.
We'll have more on the story tomorrow.
