A well known customs broker died in a sudden fall over the weekend. Around 8:00 on Sunday night, police found 59-year-old Lionel Kelly of Los Lagos unresponsive near Ladyville Technical High School. Investigations revealed that earlier that evening, Kelly - who appeared intoxicated - had been assisted home by neighbors. When attempting to cross a drain in front of his home, he fell and struck his forehead on the cement walkway. Family members said he was responsive at first, but later collapsed.
Police say no foul play is suspected, but a post-mortem will confirm the cause of death.
