A 19 year old has been charged in a disturbing case of sexual violence that occurred in the Orange Walk District, where police rescued a woman who was allegedly held captive and raped repeatedly by her ex-boyfriend.
Police say the 19-year suspect detained his ex-girlfriend in his Orange Walk apartment for two days - between Wednesday, October 22nd and Friday, October 24th, 2025.
The victim told police she went to visit him but was violently prevented from leaving. He reportedly assaulted her, slapped her, and told her she could only leave if she had sex with him.
She says he kept her locked inside, denying her food, water, and medication - and each time she tried to escape, he dragged her back inside. The cycle of abuse continued until Friday morning, when police intervened and rescued her.
Officers have since obtained video evidence, and this evening the young man has been charged.
