And, one other Minister who is under pressure is the Attorney General. Last week the Ombudsman ordered him to provide information to activist Jerry Enriquez as requested on the cost of government's lawyers in the elections and boundaries pre-election challenge.

Today the PM seemed to dismiss or doubt the ombudsman's authority:

Reporter
"Now that the Ombudsman has written the Attorney General that certain information should be released in terms of legal fees paid to private attorneys, the redistricting case, will the AG be minded to release that information?"

John Briceno, Prime Minister
"I think that's a question to ask the attorney general, because I don't know. I'm not a lawyer. I don't know if the the Ombudsman even has that authority, but that's a matter for I don't know, so I don't want to….twist anything that I am saying."

Jules Vasquez
"But you support transparency in general?"

John Briceno, Prime Minister
"As much as you do?"

Jules Vasquez
"I'm not the Prime Minister, sir."

John Briceno, Prime Minister
"But you do you do give a public good. So you also have a responsibility."
