A bus driver who was arraigned in November for wounding was convicted yesterday and slapped with a fine of $3,000.

26 year old Matthew Bevans appeared in court unrepresented and changed his not guilty plea to guilty. The incident occurred on October 29th when, according to the victim, 25 year old Julian Vive, he was riding his bicycle when someone hit him in the side of his face. He told police that even after he fell to the ground, Bevans stood over him and punched him in his face until he passed out. But Bevans told the court that Vive was following him as he was walking home - and that's why he did what he did.

Bevans must pay the fine by June 30th, in default serve 10 month imprisonment.
