Mini Man Accused Of Murder

On Monday we told you about the fatal stabbing of 56 year old Mark Longsworth at the corner of Ebony and Mopan Street. Police were reviewing video footage from the area, which led them to detain 1 person for questioning. That person has since been charged; he is 53 year old Ralph "Mini-Man" Martinez, a well known resident of Lakeview street.

Martinez was escorted to the Belize City Magistrates Court this morning where he was read a single charge of murder.

He appeared unrepresented and no plea was taken due to the seriousness of the offence. He was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until his next court date set for July 10th 2026.

Mini Man Martinez has been in the news many times in the past 15 years for alleged involvement in crime.
