And while Espat is looking for an independent review on this cyber bullying charge - will he prompt police to determine some culpability in the abduction of Joseph Budna?

It happened almost one year ago - and while one officer remains on interdiction - no one has been charged - even though the kidnapping was captured on surveillance camera and all four of the abductors are believed to be police officers.

So, we asked the new minister: will he find out who teef Budna?:

Reporter
"Is this something that you raise with the COMPOL, no arrests have been made, a police officer remains on administrative leave, or something like that?"

Julius Espat - Minister of Home Affairs
"I haven't had time Jules. It's been what, hours since I got my formal appointment. So I'm dealing with things one at a time, but it will come up. It has to come up. We will, the same thing, we'll have to analyze, ask the questions, and see where it is. I don't know anything about it, to be honest. And so I need to find out, and I will. And then I'll make a recommendation after receiving advice from as many people as possible. And that one is a little bit more complex, I assume. This one was easier to deal with initially. And we'll do it one at a time. We can't run away from the problems. It has to be addressed. You won't allow it to go away, so I understand that fully."
