On Sunday, a demonstration for justice was held in San Pedro Town to honor the lives of murder victims David Harmouche and Daniel Jones. Harmouche, who was a father of six-the youngest being a 6-month-old child-was targeted at his business in a ruthless, street-style execution where close to 60 rounds were fired by four gunmen.
No arrests have been made, and the community fears the case has gone cold. The protestors-led by members of the island town's large Lebanese community-are now urging the public to come forward if anyone has any knowledge about their killers.
San Pedro Protestor
"If you know anything, the media is here and I want them to put this out. If you know anything, if you have seen anything, if you know who are these criminals, give the police the information and let the police do their job because no crime can go unseen. Somebody has heard something, somebody has seen something, and so we are pleading to anyone who has seen or heard anything to come forward with information. Come forward with information."
Not surprisingly perhaps, neither the PUP area rep nor the town Mayor showed up for the protest.
