A go-fast vessel was intercepted twenty nautical miles offshore in the early hours of Saturday, in what officials described as the largest single narcotics seizure of the year. Three men were taken into custody and are awaiting arraignment.
“This was not luck. This was eleven weeks of watching, and two agencies sharing what they knew.”

Months of surveillance
Investigators said the operation drew on tracking data shared between the Coast Guard and a regional partner agency, and that the vessel had been monitored for several days before the interdiction was authorised.
The three suspects appeared before a magistrate on Monday and were remanded pending a committal hearing set for next month.
