Two converted buses fitted out as mobile clinics have screened more than three thousand residents across twenty-eight villages since the outreach programme launched last month, the health ministry reported on Friday.

What the screenings found
Roughly one in six people tested showed elevated blood glucose, and one in four had raised blood pressure. Vision testing accounted for the largest single volume of referrals, with several hundred residents fitted for reading glasses on the spot.
The ministry intends to add a third vehicle covering the southern corridor once recruitment for two additional nurse practitioners concludes.
