Citizens Of Belmopan Celebrate The City's 32nd. Birthday

It was an idea forged out of the devastation wreaked by Hurricane Hattie, and today the beaming capital of Belmopan City celebrated its birthday. The event was commemorated with the inauguration of George Price Boulevard - where Belmopan's founder George Price and Prime Minister Musa planted palm trees. They are two of an eventual 800 that will line the four lane boulevard, which will connect the Western Highway to the ring road. The boulevard which, will cost 30 thousand dollars, is expected to be in serviceable use by the 21st of Septemeber. Also commemorated this morning was a groundbreaking for a new Novelo's terminal on Mountain View Boulevard.
