We are just a few minutes away from the Miss Universe Pageant, which will be broadcast live from Quito, Ecuador following this newscast.
We will be rooting for our Miss Belize Leilah Pandy who will take the stage alongside 79 other women in the biggest night of her life. How big? Well millions around the world will watch and before she left, Leilah told Keith just how nervous she will be tonight on stage when all eyes will be on her.
Leilah Pandy, Miss Belize
"Of course naturally nervous. I am going to be among the most beautiful women in the world, some of the most beautiful women in the world. I am going to be meeting important people like the Donald and I am hoping he is going to say 'you're hired.' We also get to meet the President of Ecuador Mr. Luis so it's promising to be quite an adventure."
"I am confident in my abilities. They have certain criteria a Miss Universe and honestly I think I do fit it in terms of what they are looking for. However the only thing I find that could determine it are the judges."
Tonight's Miss Universe Pageant will be broadcast live right here on Channel 7 following the pageant and watch closely because Pandy will reportedly be one of the Galapagos group of dancers who will frontline the pageant's opening presentation.
