If you are a cable subscriber and you don't want to see sexually or violently explicit shows when flipping channels then you don't have to. You won't have to because the Belize Broadcasting Authority is now requiring your cable guy to block out channels which you don't want to see. This will have to be done on an individual basis and you will need to have the type of television required. Cable operators have also agreed to switch their feeds from the east to west coast (in the United States) which simply means you will have to stay up later to watch your favorite adult programs. But while the BBA might be well intentioned, cable operators say west coast feeds aren't always available and in addition while the shows air later in the night so by extension they also air later in the morning so what would have been on at 3:30, would show for example at 6:30 when most children are up. And what would have aired at 3:30 is normally not Saturday morning cartoons. Nevertheless a broadcasting authority release says that cable operators have vowed to search for other ways to give customers more control over what they see and don't see.
