The book will be launched tonight and at that launch Belizeans will be treated to a presentation of new Kriol songs that were composed over the past few days by Belizeans under the tutelage of musicologist Jo-Ann Richards who has been guiding Belizeans into composing songs in our lingua franca.

Yvette Hererra, Head Translator
"I don't think there has ever been so many Kriol gospel songs written at any one time. Actually we don't have that many. So this will be a good tool for the churches to use."

Joanne Richards, Musicologist
"One of the definitions I have for worship is acknowledging all of who God is with all of who we are and a very essential part of who we are is the language that we speak and the music that we sing.".

The concert takes place tonight at seven at the Lake Independence Baptist Church on Mahogany Street.
