Container of Free Clothes from Taiwan

For Belize's cash strapped economy, the Taiwanese are the Gods of the large and small things. Late last year the Taiwanese committed to provide $50 million in balance of payment support and today the Taiwanese Ambassador presented the Prime Minister with a donation of apparel for humanitarian support. New ambassador Ting Joseph Shih explained how it will be used.

Ting Joseph Shih,
"I think this donation is humanitarian assistance to the underprivileged because the donations are coming from a Taiwanese company in Japan and this is some of their products but it is good quality and is in many varieties. Originally it was of a very high price, the market value, but we decided to use it for the underprivileged."
