They brought us Christopher Cum Buk us in 2004, Children Children in 2005, and also Cindy-Relisha in 2005. Tomorrow night, the Rotary Club will debut its new play, "Fu we posse." The play will run for three nights and the rotary club says it'll be loads of laughter. Tonight we have a preview.

Keith Swift Reporting,
It is not everyday you get to see Ernesto Vasquez and Alberto Young dressed as street kids and singing on a stage or better yet, Ernesto and Alberto cross-dressed and dancing on stage to Sean Paul. It gets when Sandra McKay, the insurance manager, becomes a 400 hundred pound woman.

Sandra McKay, Rotary Club
"I am a part of the cast and my stage personality, if you want to call it that, will be A-Lotta. The reason they call me A-Lotta is because there will be a lot of me on stage. I will be weighing around 400 pounds and I obviously enjoy that role because I had a similar role in Cindyrelisha."

Sandra, Ernesto, and Alberto are the main characters in Patrick Brown's "Fu We Posse." It has been adapted to Belize by the Rotary Club. Kay Menzies is the show's artistic director.

Kay Menzies, Rotary Club
"I am one of the artistic directors and our job of course is to get the actors on stage doing what they need to do to make the folks laugh. That is basically it. The premise of the play is very very much related to Belize. It is a bunch of kids that through various circumstances land out on the street for a little while. It has an extremely happy ending but the adventures they have while on the street are beyond entertaining. I have to say it is funny, really funny. You can see Ernesto Vasquez acting as a homeless street boy. One of the characters is an offshore attorney by the name of Carlo Mason acting as the tough gang leader and so alone to look at the people playing the roles makes it funny enough."

It will be fun with a purpose. The funds raised from the show will go to the Rotary's Gift of Life program. The program has already helped 260 children but Yvette Burks say they still need to do more. This stage show will them.

Yvette Burks,
"It is all about Gift of Life, one of the absolutely worthy projects in our opinion that the worthy club contributes to our society. Gift of Life is literally what it means, we save children's lives one at a time and without the funds that we get from fundraisers such as this one, it is not possible."

And that says McKay are the two reasons why you should see the show.

Sandra McKay,
"My encouragement to the Belizean public is to come on out. You will have fun. Belizeans yearn for good, clean family entertainment where everybody can come out. This is the ideal opportunity."

The show will run for three nights. Tickets can be bought at the Bliss box office. Showtime is 8 pm and that is when the doors will be closed. If you are late, you'll have to wait until there is a break to enter.
