And that brings us to the end of our newscast. We remind you that, in the city, there's lot's to do tonight and tomorrow. For the kids tonight, there will be a special, early fireworks at 9:00 pm at the Memorial Park. That will be followed by two hours of cultural entertainment on the Memorial Park stage, and at 11:00 pm - the official flag raising ceremonies get underway. The flag will be hoisted at midnight - followed by more fireworks.

That leads to tomorrow's official ceremonies - again at the Memorial Park, starting at 9:00 am. Following that will be the citizen's parade, which promises to be huge this 25th year - with 23 floats booked to participate. After that, of course, is the all day downtown bram on Albert and Regent Streets. All those events are free and open to the public so come on out and enjoy.

But if you can't we'll show it all here on Channel 7. And to get you in the mood for all that Belizean-ness, we leave you on this independence eve with Frankie Reneau doing his trademark 9-minute version of the national anthem.
