“It took me like six months of steady work on it. It started off with interviewing the Belizean public, the people in the streets wanting to know what they think, how they feel, talking to the artists, seeing what they think and how they feel about where they are at with their music. I see their frustration, I wanted to talk to them about why they feel the way they feel. I wanted to know what they were doing to better their situation.
Nobody supports them, the radio stations don’t play their music, the TV stations don’t play their videos, the people they say don’t play their music and they don’t even feel comfortable to address the people to buy their music, they just feel that they are so depressed by all the elements that comes into play in trying to make it.
However I feel blest because I am not depressed by those challenges. I embrace them and I turn them into opportunities with a smile.”
