Baird is also inviting the community to donate to the church's harvest celebration. It takes place on Sunday at the Wesley Methodist Church on Albert street, and while only 10 people will be allowed inside, Baird says that's no barrier to generosity. She told us how the public at large can do their part for the harvest.
Pamela Baird, Vice-Principal, Wesley Lower School
"Harvest is coming up this Sunday right here at Wesley Church with our reverend Gough and so the staff at Wesley school we have decided to send a video through WhatsApp to our parents to solicit canned items, salad cream and stuff that can be used for our Christmas supper."
"The turkey dinner will be a fundraiser for our Bazzar that we won't be able to have due to COVID, in addition to the supplies that we are asking the parents for, we also have a wishing well that we are asking anyone from the general public to just put a little monetary fund in the wishing well that we have made."
