And from all that bad news - we turn now to a story that started out like bad news, but ended on a love note that's hard to match.

It starts inauspiciously with GI3 officers barging into a restaurant and slapping handcuffs on a patron; his terrified girlfriend thought she would have to visit him while he was behind bars. But instead of being carted off to the police station, he took a knee, and proposed to her.

It was a unique proposal set up, one that Ian Zelaya said his now fiancé and friends had no idea about. A cell phone camera captured the entire thing, which went viral on social media. Courtney Menzies spoke with Zelaya and has this story.
