I felt completely disrespected as someone who studied the history of the Maya and Maya Civilization; who understands and respects Maya sacred spaces. Then we went even further by making a mockery of the Maya Civilization by having Maya Guards stand at the foot of the temples under a red spotlight….That was wrong on so many levels…". END QUOTE.
