In the streets, voter education means knowing how to wait until 5 on election day - just one hour before polls close - to see which party will pay more for your vote. But to change that culture, the Elections and Boundaries Department today launched a booklet urging earnest voter education.
Entitled a framework for voter education the book is meant to provide a resource for persons wishing to learn about the responsibilities of electors. Today Minister of Education Hon. Francis Smith told the gathering at the launch that the usefulness of the book is unmatched.
The book was written by Chief Elections Officer Myrtle Palacio and is available at the Elections and Boundaries offices.
