For many children, the library is not exactly their favorite place to spend summer recreation time. Talk about TV, video games or play time in the park...but the library...nah! Well, a new programme organized by the folks at the Leo Bradley Library hopes to show children that books are fund. It's show them how to read, books, how to find books in the library, and even how to make books. Library Assistant Raymond Bradley who is spearheading the programme explained.
Raymond Bradley, Library Assistant
"This program will be teaching the kids the parts of a book, how to use the library as well, how to make a book, and how to write a story. The children will have a greater appreciation of books and to the library as well. Concerning the binding of the books, the older kids will do the sewing and the younger kids will be doing what we call spiral binding and in that same book they will write their own stories."
The programme is free to all who want to attend but you've got to register by tomorrow morning.
